Isabel J. Robitaille
Isabel J. Robitaille has set the standard and led the way in Western New York when it comes to corporate and residential relocation services, in addition to her expertise and experience as a licensed real estate broker.
Ms. Robitaille worked as an award-winning real estate agent and corporate relocation director before forming her own successful company – Robitaille Relocation & Real Estate – in 1992. Since that time, she and her team of real estate specialists and agents/brokers have made the organization a prominent fixture on the regional real estate and relocation landscape. The company has carved itself a special niche as relocation experts, handling the myriad details inherent in corporate and residential transfers and moves – from town to town, city to city, and even country to country.
Accomplishments speak for themselves, and there are many in the Robitaille asset column. Last year and again this year, 2008, Robitaille Relocation & Real Estate was named one of “The Best Places to Work in Western New York” by the respected newspaper, Buffalo Business First. Perhaps that kind of enriching atmosphere played a role in the fact that 2005 was the company’s best sales volume ever. It should also be noted that Robitaille Real Estate ranked number 32 in Women-owned Businesses, measured by the number of full-time employees, and has consistently enjoyed this honor since 1996.
Surely part of such success owes to Robitaille’s participation in the sales of some of the most expensive homes sold in Western New York – representing both buyers and sellers – including Clarence, Amherst, Orchard Park and Buffalo.
Ms. Robitaille’s awards, commendations and professional affiliations are numerous. She was a finalist in the prestigious Buffalo Niagara Partnership “Athena” Award for 2005. She was listed in the Business First “Who’s Building Western New York,” a comprehensive directory of the key decision-makers in local real estate, construction and economic development arenas. Ms. Robitalle also participated as a Mentor for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s Women to Women Mentoring Program for 2005.
That same year, she was appointed to the nominating committee for the 2nd annual Women of Distinction Awards program, presented by the Girl Scouts Council of Buffalo & Erie County, Inc. Isabel herself was an award recipient in 2004.
Ms. Robitaille was Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year local nominee in 2000 and an Upstate New York Finalist. The New York State Association of Realtors awarded her a certificate for Code of Ethics & Professional Standards, and she received the President’s Award for Sales Excellence four years in a row from the Buffalo Niagara Assoc. of Realtors.
Isabel Robitaille’s community participation reveals her genuine interest in giving back, and her recognition that it makes good business sense to be actively engaged in the community in which you live and work. Her directorships span those of Catholic Health System Home Care, Williamsville Business & Professional Association, and Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors. She is a past director on the Small Business Council for Buffalo Niagara Partnership and Buffalo Niagara Sales & Marketing Executives, the latter of which she was Director of Education. In 1993 Ms. Robitaille was Canadian Liaison for the World University Games in Buffalo.
As a presenter, she’s been involved with Buffalo Niagara Partnership – Small Business Marketing “Creative Thinking”; the International Trade Council; HSBC Bank’s Women’s Forum, “Managing Change”; and Buffalo Council of International Visitors.”
Ms. Robitaille was the Funding Chairwoman of Buffalo & Erie County Girl Scouts, 2004-2005 and served on the fundraising committees for Kaleida Health Foundation and Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra; and Chair of the International Real Estate Council for Buffalo-Niagara Association of Realtors. She has also been a mentor for Junior Achievement and a member of a special task force for development of “Regional Assets” for the State of the Region Performance Indicators for the Buffalo-Niagara Region in the 21st Century – sponsored by the University at Buffalo. Most recently, she was the Chair for the Family Justice Center's 'a new stArt' program which raises funds for victims of domestic violence.
Ms. Robitaille, a Licensed Notary Public, Department of State, State of New York; and a graduate of the Realtor Institute, GRI, New York State Realtor Institute, has further given back through her firm’s sponsorship of many important community and civic organizations. Among them are United Way, Diabetes Association, Tour DeCure; Multiple Sclerosis, Golf Classics; The Buffalo Sabres Alumni Scholarship Fund, East Aurora Main Street Elementary School (playground equipment), Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of America, Roswell Park Cancer Institute Alliance Foundation and the SPCA.
Recognized from 1998 – 2007 as local representative by Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate National list of luxury brokers and listed by Foxington Who’s Who of Executives & Professionals, Ms. Robitaille’s professional memberships and affiliations are extensive. Among them are National Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors, Buffalo Niagara Assoc. of Realtors, Employee Relocation Council, Buffalo Niagara Human Resources Association, and the Williamsville Business & Professional Association. Also, the International Trade Council, Buffalo Sabres Alumni Association, and the Amherst Chamber of Commerce – the latter of which recently selected Robitaille Relocation & Real Estate to receive the 2006 Small Business At Your Service Award.
Isabel Robitaille has published numerous articles on relocation and real estate in The Homefinder Saturday publication of The Buffalo News since 1990, and relocation articles for national and international relocation trade magazines (Mobility, Bound and Update). Her firm’s award-winning relocation package took second place in a national competition of Network 50.
